Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some questions that are commonly asked by clients. Hopefully you will find this information helpful. If you still have questions, please send a message, and I will be in touch to help you, as soon as I can.

  • How soon will my photos be ready, after my session? 
    Following your session, with your permission, I will post a Facebook sneak peek, that evening, or in the next couple of days. If time permits, I will also do a blog post, with some more images from the session. It will take about 2 weeks, following your session, for the online gallery to be ready to view.


  • How do I book a session?
    To book your session, simply e-mail me at amanda@afphotographer.com.au or fill in the Contact Form on this web-site. I will be in touch with all the information, and to confirm your session details.

     
  • Do I get all the photos on a USB?
    Yes and no. I provide all my digital files to clients on a CD or DVD. Following a session, you will receive all your gallery images on your disk. However, these are for future reference only. They will have my logo, and are at a screen resolution (for use on screen). They can be used for social media and e-mailing, but not for printing. You may purchase high resolution (for printing) digital files of your session, if you wish. Please contact us and request the Products & Collections price list, for full details.


  • Have you had a Whooping Cough vaccination?
    Yes I have :) Safety is a top priority for me, and this is one of the ways I can keep my precious clients protected.

  • What happens if the weather is bad for my outdoor session?
    There are a couple of options in this situation. We can either reschedule the session, or change it to be in the studio. If the weather is looking bad, I will be in touch with you on the morning of your shoot, to chat through what you might like to do. Don't forget, overcast weather is great for photos. Rain and high winds are not much fun.

  • Can I pay in installments?
    Yes, you can :) Just let me know, and we will work out a payment plan that suits you.


  • Do you take EFTPOS?
    No, I don't currently have EFTPOS facilities available in the studio. Payments can be made by Cash, Cheque, PayPal or Bank Transfer. All the payment details are included on your invoice. Please note that Credit Card payments can be made via PayPal, even without a PayPal account.

  • Do you have a Working With Children's Check?
    Yes, I have a current Working With Children number. Please contact me if you require further information.

  • How do I know when to book a Newborn Session, as I don't know when bub will be born?
    As an expectant mother, please DO NOT STRESS about this! There are enough things for you to worry about already. Here's how it works: Make your booking based on your due date. This gives me a rough idea of what's in my calendar, and ensures I do not overbook. Once I receive your deposit, you will have priority when bub arrives. However, DO let me know within 24 hours, when bub does get here (text message is fine). I will contact you in the next day or 2, with options for you actual session time. It doesn't matter if bub surprises you early, or gets way too comfy in there! That's for me to worry about :P



    How much are extra photos?Each session fee comes with 2 bonus digital files, with matching 5x7" reference prints. Additional images may be purchased, if you wish, and are completely optional. Prices start from $30/print and Collections range from $400 - $1200. Please contact me and request the Products & Collections price list, for full details.

    Can you come to me for a session?Yes, I can come to you, or travel to a location of your choice. However, there are a few things to consider, in this situation. Firstly, I do charge a travel fee, outside of my local area. $50/hour or part thereof. Also, particularly for Newborn Sessions, my style of photography requires a lot of equipment, props and outfits etc. Whilst I have these all set up in my studio, when I travel, I am not able to bring everything with me. So your session choices and variety may be slightly limited. Lastly, does your home have appropriate lighting to ensure a successful session? I am a natural light photographer, so I rely on window light during my studio sessions. Does your home have a floor-ceiling window or glass door, with space around it, to set up for a session? This is what I look for during location sessions.
